“Stay in your lane!”
I can still hear my high school driver education teacher’s words when I veered over the line. Coach Johnson’s quick directives (and one time his brake) kept me (and my classmates) safe and helped me learn the importance of being alert and intentional about keeping my car in my lane.
“Stay in your lane!” continues to be a phrase I use and apply to other areas of my life. It guides me in my roles, relationships, time, talent and treasure. It helps me prioritize, set boundaries and focus on things only I can do.
When tempted to cross the line by doing or saying too much, or drift into a lane that is clearly not mine, I’m grateful to friends or God’s whisper to my heart who tell me,
“Stay in your lane!”
In what area of your life do you need boundaries? Who can you enlist to help you stay in your lane?

A memorable experience from my high school days was being a cheerleader, passionately cheering our teams to victory and encouraging them during times of adversity or loss.
When a friend at my recent class reunion asked about my life, to my surprise, I replied,
“I’m a hope cheerleader!”
We both chuckled but I knew it was true.
Although I’m not cheering anymore on the field or the court, years later I’m still passionate about cheering others on to overcome life’s challenges and to live victoriously with Living Hope.
In what area of your life are you discouraged and need hope?
I’d love to cheer you on!
Give me an “H”
Give me an “O”
Give me a “ P”
Give me an “E”.
What’s that spell?
Louder.
One more time.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

What a meaningful and healing day honoring grieving moms and remembering their children at Hopelifters Hope on Wheels bus trip. I’m so grateful for our team of volunteers and many who supported us to make this experience happen.

I’m looking forward to our 13th Hopelifters Hope on Wheels Mother’s Day bus trip on May 2, 2026. This is a special day away to honor moms who are grieving and remember their children in meaningful ways. Thanks to many who are praying for this event or are paying it forward to make this day possible as a gift.
We are at capacity this year, however if you would like to remember a woman you know who has lost a child and honor her and her child with a meaningful gift this Mother’s Day, let us know by leaving a comment requesting more info and we’ll be happy to connect.

The day between deep sorrow and victory.
The day when Heaven seemed silent.
The day of waiting in quiet calm…
for Living Hope to come.

“Someday I want to go to Ebenezer’s in DC.”
I was not expecting God to answer my dream to sip coffee in a former crack house in our nation’s capital.
But He did, last week.
I read about this miracle spot years ago, in the book, The Circle Maker, and was inspired by Author Mark Batterson’s faith and prayer. For the last two years I’ve led several groups through his 40 Day prayer challenge.
When a friend in the group received free airline vouchers, God prompted her to take me on this trip. She planned and provided for every detail. Including multiple trips to Ebenezers, attending worship at National Community church to hear Pastor Mark preach and meet him, a trip to the Bible Museum with a mutual friend who came by train for the day, and praying together at sunrise on the steps of the Lincoln memorial.
Dreams can come true. Miracles can happen.
Keep circling your prayers and trusting Him.
With God nothing is impossible.
I’m praying He’ll surprise you, too!
Or perhaps He’ll prompt you to be used as an answer to someone else’s dream or prayer like He did with my friend.

If you’ve heard me speak or read my books, you’ve heard my story and my journey to motherhood which includes infertility, adoption, miscarriages and the loss of our infant son and birthing babies in my 40’s.
Today is a significant day marking the miracle Jordan crossing (tlb-joshua3) and also the day God allowed me to cross over to experience the miracle of birthing a living son.
Of course we had to name him Joshua.
Happy 27th birthday Josh. Thank you God!

What a fun time seeing my husband’s childhood friend and his wife during their trip to Arizona. Lots of laughter and memories shared.
Who is a childhood friend you’d like to reconnect with? What fun memory comes to mind?
