Remote Sensing experts: Please check out this Call for Information from Orbital Sidekick...
In April 2023, Orbital Sidekick (OSK) launched its first two (of six) hyperspectral imaging (HSI) satellites, each offering 400 - 2500 nm spectral range, 9.3 nm FWHM, 8.3 m native GSD, and global coverage. Each system also carries a 3.1 m GSD panchromatic sensor. At full operational capacity, all six satellites will enable up to a daily target revisit rate.
OSK wants to hear from the academic and non-profit research community to understand how they can support your work with HSI data, HSI-derived data products, and the potential opportunity to leverage OSK’s additional resources. OSK is already propelling the use of HSI within a variety of sectors, and they’re looking now to support the community in other areas where their work can benefit yours.
If you are an educator, researcher, or program manager at a university, college, or non-profit/NGO research institute, please reach out with your input to help them develop an outreach program that supports geospatial education and research.
In appreciation for your time and candidness, you'll be the first to learn about the details of OSK's new program, and will receive early access to the details of the inaugural CFP.
To respond, please fill out this survey found through the link below by July 31, 2023: https://www.orbitalsidekick.com/news-blog/2023-open-call-for-information-cfi---research-community

Congratulations to Arizona’s own Spirit Electronics on expanding capabilities with their acquisition of Insight Analytical Labs.
Insight Analytical Labs has been in operation for 30 years, providing electronics analytical services including DPA, failure analysis, reverse engineering and IP litigation support. Spirit Electronics will leverage DPA to provide construction analysis that offers in-depth internal inspection of an electronic component to detect production defects. Aerospace and defense programs require DPA to prevent component failures in high-reliability applications.
Spirit Electronics will maintain and operate the DPA lab operations in Colorado Springs. Spirit will seek qualification for the new Colorado Springs facility to bring Insight Analytical’s lab services under the Spirit Electronics quality management system and lab suitability. An invitation for customer site-audits and qualification will be announced soon.
