It’s so important to make sure to include more veggies in our meals.

I challenge my clients to eat a wide variety of different veggies on a daily basis. Veggies offer powerful fiber for our digestive systems.

Did you know that the fiber feeds the beneficial bacteria that live in our guts?

The same bacteria that work to keep us healthy.

I encourage my clients to try and incorporate veggie into every meals and snack but we always celebrate the little wins along the way.

What veggies have you had today?

As part of your self-care routine, incorporate movement in your day as often as possible.

I like to mix it up.

Today included a short yoga sesh!

Nothing is too small. Start where you are πŸ’•

How will you move today?

Happy Monday Mamas. Check out this CNN article reminding you of the importance of eating fruits and veggies daily.

For most of us, it’s easier to add fruits than veggies. I encourage the mamas in my community to challenge themselves to add one veggie and/or fruit in every meal and snack daily.

Follow me here and on instagram for daily encouragements on your wellness journey.

Remember, when you prioritize your self-care, your entire village reaps the benefits ❀️

How many servings of veggies do you have daily, on average?

Breakfast is my favorite time of the day. I aim to include veggies and a healthy fat in each and every meal since they offer us so many healthy benefits and support us on our wellness journey.

In this meal, I added onions, spinach and mushrooms in my scrambled eggs, added sliced tomatoes and avocado was my healthy fat.

How are you being purposeful about incorporating veggies in your breakfast meals?

Look at all of those beautiful green bell peppers πŸ«‘πŸ«‘πŸ«‘πŸ«‘

Gardening was therapeutic for me in 2020 and something that will be a very intentional part of my 2021.

During my live this past week with , we reflected on 2020 and I couldn’t neglect a discussion around gardening because it played a large role in my self-care practices.

I reflected on the deep healing that I experienced last year while cultivating my garden and Margo encouraged me to offer this suggestion to the mamas in my tribe. I thought it was an excellent recommendation.

So, on January 2, 202, I encourage you to plant something.

One seed πŸŒ±β€‰

One seed that you that you can intentionally care for and watch flourish.

Like your practice of self-care, the seed will require consistent intention so that’s it’s not forgotten.

Like your practice of self-care, the seed will present you with opportunities to be still, even if it’s for a short time. You can use that time to contemplate on the many blessings in your life, pray for loved ones or pray for your own strength & well-being.

Like your practice of self-care, you will soon begin to observe growth and transformation as a result of your dedication to the practice.

So, sis do yourself a favor and plant a seed and allow that plant to be a physical manifestation and reminder to take good care of yourself in 2021.

If you don’t have seeds of your own, my friends over at are selling an adorable piece of inspirational jewelry that can get you started. Check it out.

Until later mamas, keep moving forward in your journey, one habit of self-care at a time.

And don’t forget that I am over here, rooting for you πŸ’•
