These scratchers are so cool to use for classroom rewards. 1. I write what the reward is with a sharpie.
2. Put the scratcher sticker over top of it. 3. Add some stickers for decorative fun. 4. Add a little saying.
The round ones I got from Target Dollar Spot during the beginning of COVID, but I haven’t seen them since. These work just as well and I actually like them better because I can fit more/write bigger.

These pencils (pre-sharpened!) that I got from Amazon are beautiful and match my room perfectly! I waited until they went on a great sale. 150 count in soft pastel blue, purple, mint, peach, pink.

Here is a student being rewarded for meeting goals after assessments. I bought these scratcher stickers at the Dollar Spot at Target a few years ago and hadn’t used them until this school year. Now I just use an index card, put some fun stickers on there, write something, and write a prize in there. Then I cover up the prize with a scratcher sticker. They get so excited to scratch off the sticker to see what prize will be revealed! Not one time- I repeat… not one time… has a student complained about not getting something they wanted. 🤩 The choices are: Desk Pet, Mystery Box and Prize Cart. The prize cart consists of several tins of different goodies such as: silly glasses, pencil sharpeners, squishies, pencil pets, sequined keychains, etc. Yes… I buy these prizes myself. I use my earnings from my TpT sales to do this. With around 40 students a day that I see in my intervention class, and students being constantly assessed, I have students set goals for themselves and are always meeting them! I feel it is important for them to be rewarded for reaching their goals! 🌟

Do any of you have a beautifully covered table that your students peel up at the edges? 😠🫣 I was trying to think of a way to get them to stop. Once it starts it only gets worse, am I right? I tried putting clear tape overtop, but guess what? They peel that too! So… I went looking for a solution at Hobby Lobby and found this ModPodge Clear Acrylic Sealer. I put it on the ends of the table just to start with and we will see what happens. The only thing I notice right now at a certain angle is that it creates an uneven shine appearance… since it is in fact a “super hi-shine” and I didn’t cover the whole table. I think if you were to go over the whole table evenly it would be fine. I’ll update you once the students are at the table and see how it does!
