An FYI to everyone who did or wants merch for the THS Class of 85: Esther Knapp has been blocked from this page. She tried to pass herself off as the one doing the class wearable. While, yes, anyone with a flat heat press and access to online art can pass themselves off as an imprint professional, but The Cubby Hole is rhe shop the reunion planners chose to handle the work. That Knapp $ #%@& doesnt even have profile information filled out, so is being seen as a ripoff and a shill trying to steal business. If you did use her, hopefully you got something of quality.

Hey classmates (and fans), below is a link to The Cubby Hole, who officially produce the THS Class of 85 merch (how cool is that? We have freakin merch!!). They've extended the time we have to order all the hoodies and shirts and whatnot (I did not see fur-lined underwear. Bummer). You have until October 26 if you want to outfit in THS 85 activewear for the coming winter months. So GET TO IT! Heat up those credit cards and show the love. Did you see me in the group photo? I was the one standing DIRECTLY behind Joey.

From perusing the comments, it seems there absolutely NO consensus on when would be best. BUT, intrepid reunioners, it seems theres more of a push towards September than August. Not to disparage our August fans. An idea was offered up to wait and do it in conjunction with homecoming weekend. When I used to DJ these things for the really freakin old people of 20 or even 30 years before us, a lot of those classes did it along with homecoming. It gave them a chance to tour the school, which im sure would blow our minds considering the upgrades. And some DID do a float in the homecoming parade (it would have to be a low float for me, but I digress). When is homecoming?

So basically we've not gotten any further along. TWO choices on the table: September 16 weekend, or Homecoming weekend whenever it may be. And Marla Smiths idea for The Backyard and we buy out own booze sounds cool. Even better if I knew where it was located.

Is anyone still following this? Its been around since 2015 when we had our 30th class reunion. This is 40 years. I've not heard a peep about plans. Are class reunions a thing of the past???

Last week when I was stationary for a few days, I had Fox News on and was seeing YouTube stories about those wonderful EVs leaving motorists stranded or having despicably short travel ranges due to the cold weather. I know I'm definitely not cut out for an EV when just having to put the jump pack on Ben the Suburban the last couple days for it to fire up has me irked. I'd be doing like the Gotham Garage folks did one episode and put a 383 stroker motor in a Tesla. Another day doing my IV. At least all week long I don't have to be in until 1p. My lazy butt likes that better.

Five more days. I need to make it through Dec 21. That's when Mother Nature realizes she once again screwed the pooch and starts making the days longer. Before long, mowing until 9, sitting outside listening to frogs, and not being chilly. Thank goodness.

Howdy all. Even though the last post entered on this page was May 2015, we still get views and people visiting our little Class of 1985 page. This is like a message in a bottle, hoping to be read by visitors to the page and maybe even generate some responses.

So if I retained any math skills whatsoever from high school, we are about two years away from another 10 year anniversary. There have been a few get togethers over the past few years, and quite frankly that is freakin awesome. A lot of us still live in this general area. Even more of us are in contact via Facebook, Instagram and any other tech thing (I'm a technophobe so I don't know the latest thing being used).

We're closing in on 60. Does that scare you, or just freak you out? Or maybe you're just getting revved up to kick butt as a retiree. My mom is still alive and kicking at 94. She's from the class of 1952 if I remember correctly. They waited until in their 70s before having occasional dinner get togethers, and yearly soirees, because they were losing too many classmates to wait 10 years or even five years between get togethers. That should be done earlier and more often. Some of us have things happening that makes you wonder how long the alive and kicking will continue. So reach out, announce a holiday party, or a pizza night, or karaoke as a class.

3:15am: Let the record reflect that the last of the Reunion Revelers has headed off into the still night. And thus ends the 30th Class Reunion for the Taylorville High School Class of 1985. And it was fantastic. Thank you all who made the weekend possible by carving out time to meet and enjoy one anothers company. It was like the years melted away and we were all being our adolescent selves. We cannot hide behind computers and get wrapped up in our own trappings. Find time throughout each and every year to spend time together and keep the memories flowing. Peace, love and goodwill to all. And post lots of pics.

Greetings and hiya. We're nearing the two month mark in the countdown to the 30th Class Reunion Extravaganza Event (sounds a bit like a carpet warehouse commercial, I know). Have you gotten your mailing with the event flyer and registration slip?? If not....YOU HAVE IT HERE!!!! The flyer has been posted several times. Simply save it, print it and send it back with your $10 per person and you are ready to go. If you didnt get a hard copy, do us a favor and share your current address so files can be updated.
