Kicking off our "What to Audition For" series with... drumroll, please!

Ensemble!

This will be our largest ensemble show yet. There are many parts that will be double or triple cast (meaning you'll have more than one part) as the ensemble is huge! So exciting, and a great way to play a wide variety of characters. Fraternity guys, court reporters, Delta Nu's, Harvard students, and so many others will be featured throughout the show. Remember, your director LOVES the ensemble, and it's such a great way to get loads of experience!

Check out more roles next Friday 🌸

Get the skinny on audition information! There are several non-singing parts this year, especially for men. If you've never done the musical, but you've been interested, come chat! Just a quick, no pressure, informational meeting.

You can participate in the musical if:
- You have a part-time job
- Play spring sports
- have no dance or vocal experience

We work around schedules and experience. It's all about the FUN!

The THS Spring Musical finally has its own interactive webpage. Once the show has been announced, you'll be able to find all the information you need on auditions, character info, audition cuts, and more! It will also be a digital diary during the rehearsal period.

Congrats to Emily (stage crew) & Ella (Sandra) on their scholarships!

We are excited to announce that TommyPhoto Scholarships have been awarded to three students in the Taylorville High School Class of 2026. This year, $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Ella Hohenstein, Emily White, and Madelyn Lamb.

Hohenstein will be attending the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL, majoring in Agricultural Communications. White is enrolled to study Integrated Media Design at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL. Lamb will be pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing from Millikin University in Decatur, IL.

TommyPhoto scholarships are awarded annually to honor qualifying candidates with plans for continuing education in the fields of photography, digital arts, digital media, applied arts or fine arts.

TommyPhoto is a group of Taylorville High School students learning the art and skills of photography through classroom and hands on experience, led by April Mateer and Carl Niemann. Students in the organization participate in both classroom and experiential learning as they capture photos of the student body throughout the year including student portraits each Fall, individual and team photos for all student organizations, as well as photography at school events and games throughout the year, up to and including graduation.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ella, Emily and Maddy!
