Oh my goodness!! So excited and Proud!! Both of our students who qualified at State Convention to compete in the first round of academics at National Convention have moved on to the Top 20 in their respective academic competitions and can now compete live in Nashville in 4 weeks!!!

The “Inspirational Cougar” started with the class of 2023 as a way for them to recognize a teacher at Alexander Central who had made in impact on their lives in some way. (The inspiration for this came from Leann Previtt from St Stephens High School) This is our 4th time doing this and it just happened to fall on Teacher Appreciation week this year.

As the coordinator of this, it has made me feel all of the emotions as these kids read their letters to their teachers. And that is MORE than enough for me, seeing my peers recognized for what they pour out each day into EVERY student they teach.

There is a rule though - NOT ME!! (Not that I deserve ANY of this) Well, Anthony has never really been able to follow the rules, and it really did take a minute to realize what he was up to when he marched into my room Thursday morning. I don’t do emotional things well, as you can see.
