Some days you just need to get it all out. 😤📓

This journal page is basically a swear jar that gave up. Rough days happen, the kind where “fudge” doesn’t cut it anymore. Getting it out of your head and onto paper (stickers optional, extremely recommended) actually helps.

That’s part of why we do what we do at Head & Heart Connection. Sometimes processing a hard day looks like a calm watercolor page. Sometimes it looks like this. Both count.

What’s your go-to when you need to release a bad day? 👇

What a fun night at Mini Mischief Ranch! Thank you to everyone who came out to build succulent planters with us, we loved seeing all the different creations come together, from tiny mushrooms to little critters tucked into the moss.

A huge thank you to Stacey for hosting us and opening up such a great space for the evening. We’re so grateful for the partnership.

We’re already looking ahead to our next event, and we’d love to bring Head & Heart Connection to new spots around Round Rock, Hutto, Georgetown, and Pflugerville. If you know a venue that might be a good fit for a craft night, send them our way!

Even with the rain, we are getting all set up! Thankfully it’s a fast moving storm!! See yall soon!

**Happy Father's Day from Head & Heart Connection 💙**

Today we're thinking about all the dads, bonus dads, granddads, and father figures who show up. The ones who fix things, sit through school plays, give the world's most unsolicited advice, and somehow always know when you need a quiet presence more than words.

Whether you're celebrating someone special today or holding a memory close, we hope there's something good in this day for you.

🌿 **A quick craft for the dad who has everything (almost):**

**Rock Paperweight with a Handwritten Message**

All you need:
- A smooth rock from outside (or the dollar store)
- A black Sharpie or paint pen
- Optional: clear nail polish or Mod Podge to seal it

Write a short word or phrase on the rock. His nickname, an inside joke, "World's Okayest Fisherman," or something real like *"You showed me how."* Seal it if you want it to last.

Takes 10 minutes. Costs almost nothing. Sits on a desk for years.

That's the kind of making we love here. Simple, personal, and full of meaning.

From our little corner of Central Texas to yours, happy Father's Day. 🤍

Raise your hand if your craft space looks like this mid-project 🙋‍♀️

Washi tape everywhere. Scissors in three places. A planner open to a month that may or may not be current. Stickers that somehow migrated from their binder. Washi rolls just… living their best life on the table.

Honestly? This is where the magic happens.

There’s something about a messy craft space that says I was here, I was making something, and I was fully in it. Tidy can wait.

Are you a “everything in its place” crafter or a “I’ll clean up when I’m done (narrator: she was not done)” crafter? Drop a 🗂️ or a 🌪️ in the comments — no judgment here either way.

🌿 A slow summer evening is waiting for you.

July 10th at Mini Mischief Ranch, we’re gathering for a small-group craft night — and you’re going to leave with a succulent planter you actually made with your own hands.

No experience needed. No rushing. Just good people, cool soil, and a little something growing.

Supplies are included. Setup is handled. All you have to do is show up.

🎟️ Spots are limited — link in bio to grab yours.

There’s something about sitting outside with a blank page that just… resets everything.

I spent some time at Guadalupe River State Park recently doing exactly that — sketching what was right in front of me. Live oaks, river water, open sky. Layering in some stickers because why not make it playful. Letting it be imperfect and a little messy and completely mine.

No agenda. No prompt. Just paying attention to the world around me and putting it down on paper.

That’s the thing about making something by hand in a real place — you start to notice more. The way light filters through the cypress trees along the river. The shapes you usually walk right past when you’re moving too fast.

Nature has always been one of my favorite creative partners. It doesn’t judge your skill level. It just shows up, every time, full of material.

This is exactly the kind of intentional slowness that sits at the heart of what we do at Head & Heart Connection — creating space to make something, feel something, and actually be somewhere for a little while.

If you’ve been feeling scattered or stuck lately, go outside with something to draw on. Even ten minutes. Even if it’s just doodles and stickers. 🌿💙
