Happy Juneteenth!
Today we celebrate freedom, resilience, culture, and the generations of Black people who continued to hope, build, lead, and thrive even when freedom was delayed.
Juneteenth is a celebration of how far weโve come, a tribute to those who came before us, and a reminder of the responsibility we carry to keep moving forward. It is joy. It is reflection. It is community. It is truth.
Today, celebrate Black excellence, Black history, Black culture, and the countless contributions that continue to shape our communities, our country, and our future.
May we honor the past, embrace the present, and continue building a future where freedom and opportunity truly belong to everyone.
Happy Juneteenth. Today and every day, we celebrate. โ๐พ๐คโค๏ธ๐

Really excited to share that TRUE was selected as a recipient in the SouthCoast Community Foundationโs 2026 Spring Grant Cycle.
As a grassroots organization, every dollar matters. Every grant is a vote of confidence in the work, the vision, and the communities we serve. From our youth programs to workforce development to The Loft, this support helps us keep moving forward.
Grateful for the investment, the partnership, and everyone who continues to believe in what weโre building together.
The first half of 2026 has been a powerful reminder of what is possible when donors, nonprofits, and community partners come together around a shared purpose.

One of the things we love most is getting people in a room and simply listening.
And no matter where we go, Taunton, New Bedford, Boston, the zip codes change but the conversations often donโt. People are tired of talking about problems and ready to talk about healing, solutions and what equity actually looks like in practice.
Over the last week our President Tanya Lobo has had the opportunity to join Sonali from We Free Trees, and La Soul Renaissance in New Bedford and Boston for a powerful conversation about Creatives in the clean energy space and Action for Equity in Boston to discuss Green Equity Exploration.
The good news? There are some incredible people already doing that work.
Which brings us to Susie Q Shaw
A huge congratulations to our board chair on becoming an ACCESS Alum through Browning the Green Space. Weโve had the privilege of watching you continue to show up, lean in, build relationships, and invest in both yourself and the community. This accomplishment is well deserved.
The work of changing communities doesnโt happen through a single program, meeting, or initiative. It happens because people like Susie keep showing up.
And if thereโs one thing weโve learned from all these conversations across the Commonwealth, itโs this: healing happens in community, creativity belongs in the climate movement, and equity canโt wait.

To the Class of 2026,
Today we celebrate more than a graduation. We celebrate perseverance, growth, resilience, and the countless moments when you chose to keep going, even when the path wasnโt easy.
To our mentors, this accomplishment carries an even deeper meaning. While working toward your own goals, you also showed up for others. You led by example, served as role models, supported younger students, and helped create a community where young people could feel seen, valued, and encouraged. That kind of leadership cannot be measured by a diploma alone.
Weโve had the privilege of watching you grow not only as Mentors and Leaders but as amazing humans. Weโve witnessed your determination, your compassion, your willingness to step outside of your comfort zone, and your commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
As you move into this next chapter, know that your voice matters, your presence matters, and your story matters. Continue to lead with integrity, remain curious, and never underestimate the impact you can have on the people and communities around you.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and grateful to have been a small part of your journey.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. The future is brighter because youโre in it.
With pride,
Your TRUE Family ๐ซถ๐ฝ

Where are the CREATIVES???
What happens when we invite photographers, videographers, artists, musicians, designers, storytellers, dancers, and content creators into the climate and clean energy conversation?
Iโm excited to share that is partnering with Free Trees and for a pop up conversation and creative activation centered around exactly that.
Because if weโre serious about expanding climate awareness, workforce pathways, and community engagement, we have to stop having the same conversations with the same people in the same rooms.
Communities learn through culture. People connect through stories, visuals, music, art, and experiences long before they connect to technical reports and data sheets.
This conversation is about exploring how creativity exists within the clean energy and climate space and challenging ourselves to think bigger about who belongs in this ecosystem.
The South Coast has no shortage of talent, vision, or creativity. Maybe itโs time we start treating creatives as climate leaders too.
