This is where the swim program has landed. I will keep our old page up as there’s so many memories of the original program that existed from the 1940’s until COVID (😪)!

It’s with a heavy heart we share the passing of one of the best swim instructors the Tamworth Swim Program has ever had, Martha Chandler! Her time with us started in 1973 and she continued to volunteer for the program even if only one afternoon a week up until our last summer at the age of 88!! Below is a picture on the last day of lessons 8/3/19 and she was there! She was a queen at swim mechanics and if we ever had a swimmer we needed specific help with she always managed to figure it out! She will be greatly missed! Thank for your constant support of our swim program, Martha. We love you and will miss your presence at White Lake!

Unfortunately there will NOT be a swim program for 2021.
There are many contributing factors to this decision, but the biggest are the continued restrictions made by the pandemic and new state park guidelines.
We are hopeful for a program in 2022.
In the meantime, keep swimming, keep teaching your kids to be safe around the water and keep your fingers crossed for the future of this program.

The decision has been made by the Tamworth Selectmen that the Tamworth Swim Program will be cancelled for the 2020 season. While our hearts are saddened, it is probably the right decision! We will miss all of our families and hope to see you in 2021! Stay well!!

Another wonderful summer of swimming lessons in the books! This program has always been great because of the amazing teachers. This summer we had quite a crew teaching. Jess, Hannah, Brenda, Linnea, Jorja, Grace and Martha thank you to your continued commitment to the program and teaching the kids in our community this amazing life long skill!

These two strong level 6 swimmers swam across White Lake and back this morning! Our program produces strong, capable, aware swimmers who will have a life long skill! Way To Go Eva and Emmie!!!
