We had the privilege of hosting the annual E-Team Economics Competition right here at the Stavros Center, and the energy in the room was electric! The top 12 fourth-grade teams from across Hillsborough County came ready to show off their knowledge of economics, financial literacy, and real-world problem solving. Watching these young students collaborate, think critically, and cheer each other on was an absolute highlight!

A huge congratulations to ALL 12 competing schools. What a testament to these kids and teachers who are building a strong foundation in economics and financial literacy to be better prepared for the world ahead. Teachers, meet your new creative partner: Claude AI! 🙌 On Thursday, April 30th, our "Creativity in the Age of AI" workshop brought educators together to explore how Claude can transform the way we plan, create, and teach. Co-facilitator Marlee Strawn showed teachers how to craft smart prompts, build creative projects, and save time so they can focus on what matters most: their students! Innovation meets inspiration on Thursday, 4/30! Join us for our final workshop in the Innovative Mindset series: Creativity in the Age of AI! Presenters Marlee and Kara will explore how educators can harness AI to handle the mundane, streamline daily tasks, and reclaim what matters most which is meaningful, human connection with students.
This workshop is all about using technology (bring your laptops) to create more time for creativity, collaboration, and the relationships that make teaching so impactful. AI can manage the busywork; teachers provide the heart.

Last night, the Stavros Center was buzzing with AP Macroeconomics energy! Students from high schools across the area joined us for an engaging evening of review, collaboration, and confidence-building as they prepared for the big exam.
A huge thank you to our three outstanding instructors: Brian W., Andrew and Brian A. for sharing their expertise and helping students tackle key concepts. We were also thrilled to see a few teachers join us alongside their students!

Last Thursday, Angel and Denise led an engaging exploration of how artificial intelligence can support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Educators examined the possibilities, tackled real-world challenges, and envisioned innovative ways AI can help create a more sustainable, equitable future.
One of the highlights of the evening was seeing teachers collaborate and design their own ideas for how AI can address global issues and advance the SDGs. Their creativity, insight, and passion for preparing students for the future were truly impressive. What a great week at the Stavros Center!

Microeconomics Review Night Recap!
Our AP Microeconomics review session had our biggest student turnout yet! What an incredible night of learning this was!
Students worked hard, asked great questions, and left feeling much more confident heading into their exam. It was one of those sessions where you could truly feel the vibe of learning taking place!
A huge thank you to the teachers who generously gave their time to help lead the review and support our students. Your expertise and encouragement made all the difference.
