Follow my growth in historical riveted chainmaile. Sharing knowledge and teaching the history of chainmaille in pre 1600s European countries.

Within the SCA I am known as Asiyah al-Badawiyya and my goal is to build a replica chainmaille workshop. Nothing shown is for sale here, this is all for education. Please message me any questions you have and I will try to answer them!

800-year-old chain mail discovered in Co Longford 08/21/2021

Thanks to my husband and the SCA I just found this! Yes that is a scaled down maille shirt and it's butted! This item was most likely a show piece in a shop. It could also have been someone's first shirt and a teaching piece. I can't wait to hear follow up details about this.
