Last month, 36 students from the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore walked into the OPSWAT Vietnam office and got a front-row look at what defending the digital world actually involves.🙌

They went hands-on with MetaDefender, unpacked what it takes to protect critical infrastructure, and saw the day-to-day reality behind the headlines - the kind of exposure no textbook can give you.

Newport - the Cyber Challenge 2026 UK tour saved its best for last. 🏴

The University of South Wales closed out an incredible day with the same energy London and Bradford brought - and then some.

Joe Wells and Brett Smith took the stage and delivered exactly the kind of sessions this tour was built around - real expertise, straight talk, and content people will carry into their work long after the day ended.🚀

Then the CTF.
A live Capture The Flag where participants went head-to-head - screens lit up, problems being solved in real time, and winners walking away with certificates and prizes they genuinely earned. 🙌

What stood out most was the people.
Students and professionals who showed up curious, stayed fully engaged, and left with skills that go straight back into the real world.

Three cities. Three incredible rooms.
One mission - and Newport finished it perfectly.💯

Day 2 of the OPSWAT Academy Cyber Challenge 2026 at the University of Bradford was everything we hoped it would be. 🙌

A room full of curious, motivated people who showed up ready to learn, compete, and connect.

Irfan Shakeel (Vice President, Training & Certification Services at OPSWAT Academy) opened the day with a keynote that set the tone.

Followed by NIKHIL RANE, who took the stage for a session on Web Application Testing that had attendees leaning in and taking notes all the way through.

And then the CTF.🔥

Heads down, screens lit up. Students and professionals competed hard and connected during breaks. Everyone also left with a hardcover copy of 'Cybersecurity Upside Down' by Benny Czarny (CEO & Founder at OPSWAT) and the certifications they earned on the day.

This is what closing the cybersecurity skills gap actually looks like. 🙌

One city left.

London, that was something special. 🙌

Queen Mary University of London became the front line of the OPSWAT Academy Cyber Challenge 2026 - and the room showed up ready.

Students and professionals sat together for a screening of Into the Breach, heard Irfan Shakeel (Vice President, Training & Certification Services at OPSWAT Academy) and our expert speakers - Serhii Kocherhan, OSC and 🤗Jayson E. Street🤗- break down the threats shaping the industry right now, and then went head-to-head in a live Capture The Flag that tested everything they'd absorbed that day.

What struck us most wasn't the full room - it was the energy inside it.

Hands raised during sessions. Laptops open, heads down, completely locked in during the CTF. People who came in curious and left with certifications, a hardcover copy of 'Cybersecurity Upside Down' by Benny Czarny (CEO & Founder at OPSWAT), and conversations worth keeping.
