What a day for music at Adum K-8 🎶✨

Our MYP Band and Orchestra absolutely brought the house down with incredible performances alongside our PYP music family. From the first note to the final bow, our students showed just how powerful music-making can be 💙

And the excitement didn’t stop there…our Tri-M Music Honor Society students hosted an instrument petting zoo that was a HUGE hit! From our tiniest kindergarten musicians to even some of our teachers, everyone jumped in to try something new—and you could see the curiosity and joy in every moment 🥁🎻🎺

This is what it’s all about: students leading, learning, and inspiring others through music.

📣 🎶 Shout out to our Tri-M music honor society students for giving up their free time to earn service hours! 📣 🎶

Over the last two weeks at three PYP music events, they have been: setting up chairs and equipment, decorating, handing out programs, bouncing at doors, breaking down, videoing, and cleaning up!

They arrived on time, dressed for the job, respectful, helpful and a pleasure to be around. Great representation of the wonderful mini adults we have at Adum!

Huge congratulations to Cameron and Marley for performing with the Hillsborough all county Jazz bands yesterday! They learned so much in just a few days and are ready to bring those new skills back to our band room and lead their band mates to new heights! So proud that they not only earned a spot in the ensembles, but also that they were risk takers and played solos for the concert! 🤩🎺🎸✈️

Our students were professional, well prepared, and so musical, and received great feedback and praise from the adjudicators. They received a rating of “superior” from every judge, the highest rating we can achieve 🤩 They represented Adum at the highest level and Ms. Jones could not be more proud! Congratulations Band!

Orchestra MPA today was incredible! (music performance assessment)

Our students were poised, prepared, and musical- and received great feedback and praise from the adjudicators. They received an overall rating of “Excellent” for their stage performance and “Superior” for their sight reading performance 🤩 They represented Adum at the highest level and Ms. Jones could not be more proud! Congratulations Orchestra!

What a night! Thanks to for hosting an amazing Pre-Mpa for all of the south tampa middle schools- it was so helpful to get a practice run on stage and to get some incredible feedback and a clinic from the guest judges. Also Huge shoutout to Mr. Depiro (our amazing intern) who conducted the March tonight- it’s his last week with us and we are so grateful for the amazing job he’s done 🤩

Band before breakfast! Our 7th and 8th grade band students had a very productive rehearsal bright and early this morning in preparation for our upcoming MPA performances- these students normally rehearse in 3 different class periods, so we are so grateful they showed up this morning to put it all together- they sound great!

All county band and orchestra 2026 is in the books! So proud of our musicians for all of their hard work over the past few days! The performances were very impressive and each of them represented Adum at the highest level. Go Aviators!
