❄️THS 3D PRINTING ADVENT CALENDAR❄️
❄️☃️❄️ DECEMBER 25TH BONUS❄️☃️❄️
BONUS PRINT – High Speed Propeller Launcher
If you root around on our Instagram or TikTok a little, you’ll come across an in-shop demonstration video with our own Peter H. playing with a neat little gear multiplying propeller launcher. As it turns out, the design is completely printable, and we’re sharing it with you for this year’s AC Bonus Round. This thing has probably the clearest assembly video I’ve seen in a long time, and the parts are arranged in such a way to make printing in different colors simple, giving you batches of parts easy to identify for precise placement in assembly. Be sure to read the instructions carefully, and don’t ignore the warnings. This thing really does launch at high speed, so make sure not to aim it at any living things or fragile objects. (Ceilings are fine, so long as you’re not in between the propeller and the tiles and/or popcorn.)
That’s all for us this year. If you’ve got any makes from this year’s builds, be sure to tag us with . We’ll be back next year with more 3D printing fun we’ve found during the year, and in the meantime, come visit us! We have Open Makes on Tuesday evenings starting at 6PM.
Many thanks to Jake Williams for managing socials for this year’s festival, and continued, deep thanks to Don Willingham for managing the Wiki listing for everything we’ve been putting through for you this (and every!) year. Special thanks to Peter Harshberger for the lead-in we could use for our Bonus Round.
