Thinking 3D! The Mission to Mars class at Corbett Prep learned a lot about 3D printing while creating designs on Sketchup. They are learning how having a 3D printer handy on Mars could help astronauts and space colonists create tools they need easily and quickly.

Middle School students in the Mission to Mars elective had a chance to check out a 3D printer this morning and learn how it works. The students worked on laptops to draw 3D designs, which the printer potentially could print out as tangible objects.
