Blackout Week
It aims to unite the community, honor Black history, and promote pride in black identity.
Black Out Week is a week full of events where black student organizations are given the chance to collaborate and arrange numerous programming for the community. Blackout Week, founded in 2018 by USF students Martaz'Shia Gibbs, Raven Bourne, and Maurice Nock, celebrates African American culture at USF and the Tampa Bay community. Held annually during the third week of February, this event coincides with Black History Month and features diverse activities organized by black student groups.
