It is summer!! ☀️ And you know what that means?! It’s officially camp season 😎⛺️ This summer, I am the art and science director at a camp in NY. I love this job because it allows me to try out new and fun ideas before I bring them into the classroom 😧🧪 Today I gave the older campers a sticky STEM challenge...can you guess who built the highest tower?? 😉

I am DEFINITELY going to need to sharpen the saw this week! Because it was the students first day back from spring break, and my first day as a long-term substitute, we spent some time on healthy habit #7 during morning meeting. Together, we decided to create a self-regulated station that would help us to balance ⚖️ our brain, our body, our heart, and our soul. It is SO important for students to learn how to balance and it is even more important for teachers to practice balance in their own lives. That being said, it is time for me to make dinner, go to the gym, watch American Idol, and go to sleep, so that my “saw is sharpened” for tomorrow! 🧘🏼♀️🧩 @ Lanier Elementary School
