Kick off your high school journey with the IB Summer Academy, led by Mr. Baker, the 9th & 10th Grade Pre-IB English Teacher, taking place Monday, July 21 – Thursday, July 24, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM at Memorial Middle School (4702 N. Central Ave).

✅ Check-in starts at 7:45 AM – don’t be late!
🧠 Led by awesome HHS teachers with help from upperclassmen mentors
📚 Expect fun activities, academic sessions, and a sneak peek at clubs, sports, and more!
📎 What to bring: pen/pencil, notebook, highlighters, calculator, snack, and a great attitude! Concerning graphing calculators, the TI-84 (Plus CE or Silver Edition) is the preferred model, and students will use this all 4 years they are in the program. HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN’T GET THESE MATERIALS, DO NOT LET THAT STOP YOU FROM COMING; THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN BRING IS A POSITIVE, OPEN ATTITUDE. All other materials will be provided if you do not have them.

HHS IB Freshman MOSI Event: Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 9 AM - Noon

Please join us at MOSI for the students’ Team-Building event at 9:00 a.m. and the Freshman Parent meeting will be held at 11 AM.

Incoming Hillsborough IB freshmen will get to know each other through fun team-building activities and a visit to the Planetarium. It's a great opportunity to make new friends and get comfortable before school starts!

• 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Location: MOSI – Museum of Science & Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL 33617

• Cost $50 per student (includes lunch)
• Lunch will be provided by Station House BBQ
• Class schedules will be handed out at the end of the day
• Deadline to purchase is July 14!

Parent Meeting:
At 11:00 AM, there will be a parent meeting inside MOSI with Mr. Mikulec, IB Coordinator, and representatives from the IB Alliance Parent Teacher Organization.
