Throughout last week, our students, school community, and Parents’ Club came together to celebrate a very special milestone as we honor the retirement of our beloved principal, Mrs. Freund from St. Lawrence Catholic School. After 45 blessed years in education, including 35 years in Catholic education, we share with heartfelt gratitude her retirement announcement.

For the past nine years, she has faithfully served our community with dedication, vision, and a deep love for our mission—to form not only strong students, but faithful disciples of Christ.

Under her leadership, St. Lawrence has grown in both academic excellence and faith formation. She strengthened academic programs, expanded opportunities to challenge and support all learners, and helped bring enrollment to capacity—reflecting the trust families place in our school. Most importantly, she fostered a vibrant community of teachers and staff who live out their vocation each day and model Christ’s love in the classroom.

We are profoundly grateful for her leadership, her unwavering commitment, and her belief in the potential of every child and every family in our community.

While we will miss her presence deeply, we celebrate her many years of service and wish her God’s abundant blessings in retirement. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of our students, families, and staff.

From retreats and water games to yearbook signatures and special moments together, these final days have been filled with laughter, friendship, faith, and memories that will last a lifetime. 🎓💚

This morning, our graduates gathered for their final All School Mass, proudly entering in their graduation gowns as the school community celebrated and prayed for them before tonight’s graduation. Following Mass, students remained for the Student Council President’s address to the student body, the 8th Grade Litany, and the presentation of a special scholarship and the big 7th grade award.

As the Class of 2026 prepares to take their next steps, our 7th graders also stepped into a new role, moving into the 8th grade pews and beginning their journey as the future leaders of our school. ✨

We are so grateful for the joy, spirit, leadership, and witness our 8th graders have brought to our school community over the years. Congratulations, Class of 2026 — we are proud of you and can’t wait to see all that God has in store for you! 💚🤍

Today we celebrated our kindergarteners and this special milestone in their lives! 🎓✨ From celebrating Mass together to sharing joyful moments with their families, it was a beautiful morning honoring all they have learned, how much they have grown, and the bright future ahead of them.

Eleven years ago today, Fr. Chuck was ordained a priest! We are so grateful for all that you do for our parish and school community. Thank you for your faithful leadership, guidance, prayers, and for the many ways you faithfully serve and support us each day.

La Familia Discipleship Program encourages St. Lawrence families to learn, explore, and grow deeper in their faith. These families designed and implemented their own programs to help achieve these goals.

Families who completed Discipleship Part C during the third trimester were acknowledged today. In addition, those who completed Parts A, B, and C were awarded the Trinity Award. Four eighth-grade students have received the Trinity Award since they first attended St. Lawrence. These families have documented their growth in faith for more than nine years!

During Mass this morning, we had our May Crowning. It was a truly beautiful and memorable celebration. Our second grade students , who just received their First Communion over the weekend, processed in, laid flowers at the feet of Mary, and took part in crowning Her. It was a meaningful and joy filled occasion for our St. Lawrence community! 💐
