Now Hiring: Security Instructor (Full-Time / Online)
We're looking for a dedicated DI Instructor to lead live online 40-hour Class D Security Guard training courses. If you are a former Military Veteran or Law Enforcement professional with a passion for teaching and strong computer skills, we want to hear from you.
What you will do:
- Teach live, instructor led online courses Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (EST)
- Use a provided computer setup with we**am to conduct class
- Follow approved PowerPoint based curriculum
- Engage and support students throughout the 40-hour course
Requirements:
- Current Florida DI license or ability to obtain one
- Experience teaching or instructing adults
- Strong presentation and communication skills in an online environment
- Computer knowledge with basic troubleshooting skills
Experience:
- Military or Law Enforcement preferred

It gives us the persistence to carry out things that will lead us to a long-term goal and helps us realize that success will come to those who keep trying.

While spending time in a gym is usually advocated to achieve the desired fitness level, it is not always possible or practical for some security officers.

Thankfully, there are several ways in which officers can maintain fitness and overall wellness while on duty.

These include eating healthy foods, stretching for wellness, encouraging mental fitness, muscle training, etc. Anything you know you have to do to stay fit, please do.

One of the most important skills as a security officer is detecting if anything seems out of the ordinary. You must always be aware of your surroundings and look for anything suspicious.

You should know what activity is unusual and act on it immediately if it poses a threat to the public.

According to the dictionary, Patience is defined as "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset."

It never ceases to amaze me that a few words can be used to define a concept that's so difficult to practice at times. But it's worth it. Patience is a huge factor in success. In fact, good things take time

We won't pretend that exercising Patience is easy. It's not. There are days you just want to do something rash—or worse, give up. Take a deep breath and figure out the best way out.

Stress, regret, and anger don't help anything. So when you're facing an uncertain future, an adverse event, or something scary, take a minute. Don't do anything. Just sit a spell. And if you find your brain veering in a negative direction, consciously tune your mind and get yourself back in the right frame of mind to make better decisions.

We all know the old adage: Patience is a virtue. But it's true! Patience can help us achieve our goals, maintain a more positive outlook on life, and make us less reactive, making us less prone to bad decisions.

Finding joy in the work you do can greatly improve your outlook and general contentment both on the job and in your personal life. While many people love their jobs, occasionally the repetition of a position can distract from the satisfaction the job once brought. You gotta keep renewing your love for what you do

Besides the extensive practical training we give our students, theoretical education is essential.

The goal is to ensure that you have the knowledge you need to perform any security guard duties to which you might be assigned once you receive your license.
