This event is free and open to all, facilitated by The Florida Orchestra as part of our ongoing efforts to support and uplift music education in our community.

Jazz Ensemble II is composed of a variety of students from different programs on campus. This group focuses on performing everything from classic Ellington and Basie charts to modern repertoire from composers such as Maria Schneider and Chuck Owen.
Tickets for the 2023-2024 Season are being offered free of charge and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The lobby will open 1 hour prior to the event, and the doors will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance. Please arrive ahead of time to ensure your ticket as seating is limited.

Our singers step into the driver’s seat in the The Takeover, Op. 2! Watch what happens when these talented musicians take the stage to present choral favorites, classic standards, popular video game music and student-created works. Featuring University Singers, Blue Mood Jazz Vocal Ensemble, and the Chamber Singers performing works by Eric Whitacre, Enriquillo Sánchez, Victor C. Johnson, George Gershwin, Ray Charles, Christopher Tin, and more. Student-created work includes master’s composition student Carrie Clarke, and USF alum Hernán Pineda. Join us for an evening to end the semester with a bang!

USF Concert & Symphonic Band

The USF Concert Band and Symphonic Band will perform together on April 23 in the USF Concert Hall.
The Symphonic Band will perform Roshanne Etezady’s “Parhelion” and Alfred Reed’s “A Symphonic Prelude.” They will also perform a new work by composer Haley Woodrow. “Life Unto the Age” was written in 2023 and the commission of the work was partially funded by USF music fraternities. The Symphonic Band portion of the concert will conclude with Donald Grantham’s “Fantasy Variations.”
