Wishing everybody well and safety this weekend!

Hello Spartans!

Hope everyone is having a rejuvenating summer. We, the staff of Respond, are aware that you all work incredibly hard on those essays and research papers for class. Respond gives you the platform to publish all of that hard-work in UTs very own academic journal. Since we know that finals week is a stressful time to think about submitting to a journal, we have decided to extend the submission deadline for the Fall issue till Sunday, July 9th, 2017.

Submission is OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS (honors and non-honors)!!!! Don't worry about what field of study you are from- experimental or creative- or how your work may be received and just submit. Your work might be just what we are searching for, for the upcoming issue and it is a great opportunity for those who want to apply to grad school, since only 5-7 papers are published.

Atakan H. Keskin was selected by Respond to attend the Butler Undergraduate Research Conference at Butler University in Indianapolis. He is a senior at University of Tampa and originally from Turkey. He will be presenting his paper on Corruption and Economic Growth to more than 800 registered participants. His research analyzes the impact corruption has on 20 developing Latin American countries. He will be attending in April and we are confident he will represent the University of Tampa research community well.

We hope everyone had a great spring break! As the semester is hitting its half way point, please consider sending in any essays you've written to [email protected]! It is a great way to have your hard work published. This semester's due date for submissions is May 8.

We hope everyone had a great first week of classes! Thank you again to everyone who sent in submissions for the next issue of Respond. We just deliberated over which papers will be selected for the journal. Decisions will be sent out by January 31st to all who submitted!
