University of South Florida Chemistry students present the Raymond N. Castle Student Research Confer 20th Annual Raymond N.

The National Science Foundation has awarded a grant of $152,735 to University of South Florida for support of project titled "Role of DNA sequence and deformability on lesion recognition and excision in the base excision repair pathway," under the direction of Dr. Arjan Van Der Vaart.

The Raymond N. Castle Student Research Conference was initiated as a means to encourage undergraduate and graduate chemistry students to present their scientific data in a friendly atmosphere. This conference is solely put on by students and for students to develop the necessary skills to be successful in the future.

Benefits to participating in the conference:
- Present your current chemistry research in a friendly environment (either with a poster or a talk)
- Learn about current research in your field
- Practice speaking scientifically about Chemistry
- Great addition to any resume
- FREE to participate
- Breakfast and lunch is included

Date of the conference is Saturday April 11th 2015
