Zeta Tau Alpha Tampa Alumnae Chapter

10/10/2019

Hey ladies! I just wanted to clarify that Founders’ Day will NOT be at USF this year. Sorry for any confusion!

01/13/2019

Happy Sunday, Sisters! Tomorrow you will receive an email from ZTA about your alumnae experience. This is the first time our Fraternity is providing an opportunity for all alumnae to share their thoughts about alumnae life. I hope you will all take a few minutes to complete this survey so ZTA can continue to enhance the alumnae experience.
In case you are wondering how I know about all these things, I was selected to serve as a ZLAMbassador to help get information and updates to all alumnae. From time to time I will send out links, share social media posts, and ask for feedback about all things alumnae 🙂
My 28 years as an alumna have been amazing! I look back on my decision to join ZTA in 1987 and realize the incredible impact that one decision had on my life. My Gamma Zeta Sisters and my Tampa Alumnae Sisters - and all my Sisters in between - mean the world to me. I want more than anything for each alumna to continue to grow her love for ZTA. Taking the time to complete this survey will help more than you know. If you should have any questions or if you don't receive your email tomorrow, please let me know. Thank You and ZL!

Home - Stand Up To Harvard 12/05/2018

As many of you may have read, ZTA is standing with NPC and IFC and standing up to Harvard. I'll try to explain what's going on the best that I can...
Harvard made the decision that members of single-sex organization would be forbidden from holding leadership positions in campus organizations, clubs, and athletic teams, could not receive letters of recommendations from Harvard staff, could not apply for certain scholarships, and a host of additional "punishments" for being members of these organizations. Sadly, these policies had a huge and negative impact on the sororities and fraternities at Harvard and all have closed their chapters. This type of discrimination is simply unacceptable. So, lawsuits were filed by two former chapter leaders, NPC, and IFC to stand up to Harvard's policies. I'd ask that you stand with ZTA and stand up to Harvard as well. Here is the link to more information, including an online petition that I encourage you to sign. Please help draw as much attention to this cause as possible by using the on your social media posts, update the frame on your profile picture, encourage as many as you can to get involved, and share your story of the benefits you've received as a member of a single-sex Greek organization.

Please let me know of any questions you may have. Thank you!

Home - Stand Up To Harvard Before Harvard announced sanctions that punish students in single-sex social organizations, one in four undergraduates belonged to sororities, fraternities or all-women’s or all-men’s final clubs—opportunities protected by Title IX and the First Amendment. Starting this fall, members of those ...

Convention 2018 Recap 07/16/2018

Convention 2018 was such an amazing event! Wish we could bottle what it's like to have 800 women supporting each other and cheering each other on - even when they are competing for the same recognitions and awards! What true Sisterhood is all about. Hope you can join us for Convention 2020 in Atlanta from June 23-28.

Happy Summer, Sisters!!! Our first Service project of the year, and one that ties nicely with our *soon to be announced theme*, is collecting items for Dress for Success. Preferred clothing items are gently worn professional skirts, slacks, blouses, jackets, and suits. I am taking everything on Wednesday, July 18th. Message me for pick up or we can meet there. Thank You!

Our non-ZTA family and friends are welcome to participate as well 😊❤️

We had such a great time at our Summer Send off last week! We welcomed a few new sisters and bid farewell to another before she moves across country! We also had a great time sharing ideas for events for the Summer and Fall with our new VP of Programming, Jen! Can’t wait to see you all at the next event!
