Calling all poets and poetry lovers! Students, Faculty, & Staff 🗣️ Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs this Saturday @ 6pm for our open mic event, Melanated Melodies, where you’ll hear beautiful poems centered around black history, heritage and culture 🎤🤎🖤.

Quinkillin from the , will be the event MC, along with opening and closing acts from Slam Anderson & Charles Hines.

This is an open mic event, so don’t be shy, step to the mic, and let us hear your beautiful words at this amazing event.

Please join the Office of Multicultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Institute on Black Life, the USF Black Alumni Society, and the Theta Gamma chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., for our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Brunch on Friday, January 20th.

Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Tangela Serls, this brunch honors Dr. King’s legacy, the work left to be done, and the untold stories of the Civil Rights Movement. This event is open to entire USF community.

iBuddy is a free 9-week program that partners international & domestic students at USF to increase cultural awareness and build global friendships. It's a great way to meet new people and learn more about diverse cultures. Reach out to us with any questions!

Yesterday, on Trans Day of Remembrance, a day to honor those who have suffered at the hands of transphobia we now mourn more individuals of the LGBTQ+ community who were attacked at Club Q in Colorado. We are extremely sadden at this loss and are here to support everyone from the community. As allies, we will keep fighting for the living and ensure that those who were taken away are remembered and honored.

Featuring keynote speaker Soñia Guinansaca, our NCOD Celebration will honor the power of community, resistance, and coming out. Student, staff, and faculty testimonials will highlight this year's theme: the light in me sees the light in you. Dinner will be provided!

To celebrate the end of LGBTQ History Month, the Office of Multicultural Affairs is celebrating with our first inaugural National Coming Out Day Celebration!🏳️‍🌈.
We would love to have students, staff, and faculty share out their personal coming-out stories!
We are accepting video submissions, no longer than 2 minutes each, that will be promoted on our social media with the !
If anyone wants to share their story on stage, we would love that as well. Please submit your videos to Alison Garcia, the Coordinator for LGBTQ+ Initiatives ([email protected]).
