The Judy Genshaft Honors College was named after USFs sixth president, Dr. Judy Genshaft. In 2019 she retired after 19 years in the role, gifting $20 million to build a dedicated Honors College building on the Tampa campus. The building is a modern architectural marvel. The center atrium is designed to represent a hive of intellectual energy and connections across disciplines.

Honors Affiliate Faculty Dr Jordan Howell and Honors Alum Kaylee Eckelman presented their research on the social emotional profile and motivations for hackers at todays Cyber Fraud Summit, building on work that came out of an honors course. They even brought in a real hacker for a live Q and A in the middle of the presentation. Truly cutting edge research!

Our students stole the show at the annual Student Research Conference. From factors impeding Vietnam Veterans from participating in research to breast cancer identification, from language acquisition to volunteering and self-satisfaction, our students put their curiosity into action to investigate topics important to them. Passion+curiosity+dedication=brilliance.
