Usf J-Club

Usf J-Club In addition, we hope to reach out to the international Japanese society and exchange students. The initiatives raised over $8,000 for Japan relief.

The Japanese Club at USF was formed during Summer 2009 by USF student Carlos Hernandez with the mission of enriching the USF community and surrounding areas with Japanese culture through socials, events, meetings, and various other ways of interaction. We hope to bridge the gap between the United States of America and Japan’s cultures and create a network for those interested in Japanese culture,

including Japanese language students. During the Tohoku Earthquake of 2011, the Japanese Club raised funds for victims by hosting a charity dinner and candlelight dinner and by joining forces with Save Japan Now, an initiative started by former officer Francis Maraj. The club also helped promote local events raising funds to help displaced Japanese natives.
