Teacher Appreciation Week: Day 5 🌺
ʻOhana 🌺
We wrapped up an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week by celebrating our TTE ʻOhana with a Luau Lunch! 🌴🍍 Staff enjoyed delicious food, fun goodies, raffle prizes, and time together as a school family.
A huge THANK YOU to Alison and Station House BBQ for always supporting and spoiling our staff! ❤️ We are also so proud of our special ʻOhana shirts made with love by Mrs. Jaime and Mrs. Cochol.
Throughout the week, our teachers and staff were celebrated in so many meaningful ways by students, families, community partners, and generous supporters. From favorite drinks and thoughtful notes to meals, treats, gifts, and special surprises — every act of kindness reminded our staff how valued they truly are.
At Temple Terrace Elementary, ʻOhana is more than just a theme — it’s the heart of who we are. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special for the amazing educators and staff who pour into our students every single day. 🌺

We are excited to officially kick off a new partnership between Temple Terrace Elementary and the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation! ☀️ ⚽ 🐅
This incredible partnership will help expand opportunities for our students through access to soccer equipment, skill-building, teamwork, and positive enrichment experiences. Many of our students face a variety barriers to participating in organized sports, so opportunities like this truly make a difference for our school community.
We are so thankful to the Tampa Bay Sun Foundation for investing in our students and helping create opportunities both on and off the field. Their mission to remove financial barriers and expand access to youth soccer aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting the whole child and building a strong Community School ʻOhana.
We are also excited to continue growing this partnership next school year, including opportunities for soccer clinics to be held during our PE classes so even more students can learn, participate, and build confidence through the game of soccer.
Thank you, Tampa Bay Sun Foundation, for believing in our students and our school community! ☀️ ⚽ 🐅

Teacher Appreciation Week: Day Four ✨🎬🍿
Thursday was about Glitz & Glam and an incredible day celebrating our amazing TTE staff! Thank you to American Fidelity for providing lunch during the school day and helping us make our teachers feel so appreciated. ❤️
Throughout the day, students also helped celebrate by bringing in their teachers’ favorite drinks and special treats to show their appreciation. 🥤💕
After school, we rolled out the red carpet for our Oscar’s Party! Staff had the choice to come dressed in glitz and glam or comfy “watching the Oscars at home” attire. We enjoyed a charcuterie gazing table, music, and lots of laughter together. Thank you Temple Terrace PTA ⭐🎥
Teachers received end-of-year shirts, heartfelt words shared by students and families, and had the opportunity to win AMAZING raffle baskets and prizes. Every single gift basket and giveaway item was donated by a very generous, kind-hearted Good Samaritan whose generosity truly helped make the night extra special. 💛
A huge thank you as well to Janine Elizabeth for donating the decor and helping transform the space into a Hollywood celebration!
Our teachers deserve to feel celebrated, loved, and appreciated for all they do each and every day for our students and families. 🍎🐯

💙 🍽️ 💙 This week we kicked off a brand new 3-week cooking club through our Unlimited Potential Initiative (UPI) Grant in partnership with Where Love Grows!
On Wednesday, students learned kitchen safety, teamwork, and basic cooking skills while making their very own chicken stir fry. 👩🏽🍳👨🏾🍳🥦🍜 After cooking together, they got to sit down and enjoy the meal they created themselves — and they did an incredible job!
This new initiative is designed to help students build confidence, independence, and real-life skills in a fun and engaging way. We are so thankful for partners like Where Love Grows who are helping provide meaningful expanded learning opportunities for our students.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the University of South Florida and the USF Institute for School-Community Partnerships. Through our Unlimited Potential Initiative Grant, we have had another amazing opportunity as a Community School. 💚
This week, we had the opportunity to attend the final presentations from USF’s Integrated Public Relations & Advertising Campaigns course from The Zimmerman School of Advertising and Mass Communications at USF, where students presented communication campaign ideas created specifically for Temple Terrace Elementary! 🎓🐯
Throughout the semester, these students partnered with TTE to conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups with families and community partners to better understand how we can strengthen communication and engagement across our Community School ʻOhana. Their research focused on increasing awareness of school events and resources, creating more accessible and consistent messaging, and boosting family engagement both online and in person.
We are incredibly thankful for the time, creativity, professionalism, and dedication these students and professors invested into our school community. Partnerships like this help us continue growing stronger together for our students and families.
Thank you to USF and the Institute for School-Community Partnerships for continuing to invest in our students, staff, families, and community. 💚
