Join WFSU Education this Friday evening to celebrate National Reading Month with a screening of the new PBS KIDS series “Phoebe & Jay” at WFSU. They will have snacks, activities, story time, and will watch Phoebe and Jay. This new literacy-focused show follows the adventures of 6-year-old fraternal twins Phoebe and Jay Yarber, who use various kinds of texts kids see in their everyday lives to help them understand, navigate, and participate in the world around them. This series is best for children ages 3-5 but everyone is welcome to join us this Friday, March 6, at 6 pm at WFSU Public Media. Reserve your seats here:

Have you heard of the Period of PURPLE Crying®? Crying is a normal part of infant development, and not necessarily a sign something is wrong. During this stage, babies may cry more even when all their needs are met. Always check the basics first:
🧷 Wet or dirty diaper?
🍼 Hungry?
🫩 Tired?
😣 Uncomfortable from clothing or position?
If you’ve checked everything and the baby is still crying, it’s okay to lay them (face up) in a safe place and step away for a few minutes to take a breath. Crying will peak, and it will pass. 💜
