A few select students got the opportunity to present at the State University System’s Board of Governors meeting recently. We are so proud of how well you represented our university! Hear about their experience firsthand below!
Nashrah Pierre-Louis: “I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to represent transfer students at the Florida Board of Governors panel and highlight the amazing work our community does to support its students. My experience at FSU has been extraordinary because of the resources Transfer Student Services provides. From taking IDS3003 to utilizing the academic success coaching, having a support system to advocate for my needs and encourage me to thrive is what makes me proud to be a Nole!Â
This support has also inspired me to give back to my community by becoming an IDS3003 peer leader, peer mentor, and President of the Transfer Student Union, allowing me to contribute to the personal and professional success of students like me.“
Nathan Sanborn: “Florida State University has done so much to support me as a transfer student and aspiring researcher, and I was grateful for the opportunity to share my story at the Board of Governors meeting. I hope it inspires other transfer students to put themselves out there!”
