Grief is often only defined as a person's emotional response to a loved one's death. However, grief actually has a broader definition that impacts all areas of our lives. Grief, by definition is an emotional response to loss; any loss. When we can properly define the word, we can properly heal from its impact.

Statistically, I probably shouldn't be standing here taking this awesome selfie. BUT GOD. Where I wanted to put a period, God put a common and wanted the story of my life to continue.
I am not only thankful for His trust in me but I thank Him for the supportive people He placed in my path. A tribe of people who helped me get to the other side.
Not only did I find hope on the other side I also found healing, transformation and love.

Grief is a response to a loss. It does not mean that if you have a response you lack faith.
Therefore,
You can be sad, and still have faith.
You can be angry and sin not, and still have faith.
You can be afraid, and still have faith.

Whether we realize this fact or not what we think about ourselves and what we say to ourselves matter.
Whatever those belief systems are we will create systems, habits and behaviors to prove them true. Therefore, if you believe you are unworthy and not valuable then YOU will act in ways that will sabotage your success. But, if you believe you are worthy, valuable, called for a greater purpose, then you will act in ways which will set you up for success.

As the saying goes: Everyone has an opinion.
Some of those opinions can hit on insecurities and once those insecurities are triggered we can limit ourselves completely missing the fact that there are so many others who need our voice, our leadership, our wisdom and our guidance.
