The FSU College of Medicine will host a faculty candidate seminar today (Monday, January 22) at, 12:00 pm, 1306 COM. Yi-Yuan Tang (Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University; Presidential Endowed Chair in Neuroscience; Professor of Psychological Sciences & Internal Medicine, Texas Tech University) will speak on "Training attention and self-control over the life span: brain mechanisms and clinical applications." We had a great time today meeting our state legislators with the Alzheimer's Association, hopefully we will be able to participate in more events like this in the future!

Tomorrow, stop by Union Green to say hi to NUSA as we promote Neuroscience to FSU!
We'll be there 9:30am-1:30pm. We will have sheep brains, interactive neuroscience displays, and a special tea that makes you lose your sense of taste for sweetness (😦).

Hi all! Tomorrow is the Rushton Lecture Series! Prominent neuroscientists come to FSU to present on issues in contemporary neuroscience!
Hosted by FSU's Program in Neuroscience, the topic is Affective Disorders: Causes and Treatments. This is a great opportunity, as there will be guest lecturers from universities such as Yale, Stony Brook, and Cornell! Hope to see you there!
