This is the third year our team at FCR-STEM has led FREE professional learning courses, and the second year they are going to the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. The team will be away from home for the better part of six weeks, working with teachers focusing on AI and robotics. The success of FSU InSPIRE is built on Florida State University's commitment to strengthening an exceptionally talented, well-educated workforce that supports a thriving aerodynamics and advanced manufacturing ecosystem in Northwest Florida.

On Monday we will be back on the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast offering K-12 teachers 𝐹𝑅𝐸𝐸 professional learning courses as part of InSPIRE at FSU. The focus will be on AI and Robotics to drive long-term, meaningful change for the area's students and families.

LSI leadership was in Washington, D.C. Thursday to sign an agreement with IREX launching our work on the Early Grade Education Activity (ASAS) project in Jordan.

We are thrilled to be joining IREX and partners on ASAS in Jordan to strengthen early grade education and teacher preparation. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, ASAS supports Jordan’s long-term stability and workforce readiness by helping strengthen the foundational literacy, numeracy, and teacher preparation systems that students and communities rely on.

Through this collaboration, IREX and LSI will support Jordanian-led teacher education initiatives, including curriculum review and co-development, faculty professional development, research, and quality assurance frameworks in partnership with Jordanian universities.

Dr. Stephanie Simmons Zuilkowski, Associate Director for Research at LSI, will serve as the PI and is looking forward to collaborating with Jordanian universities to support their efforts to advance teacher education, while also deepening our own understanding of effective, contextually responsive approaches to primary grades teacher preparation.
