The Ethernet Cable!

I learned something, you all, *very* new to me, the other day!

Do you all know that ethernet cables wear out?! They also are prone to glitch or break as well.

I had trouble with my Sony Bravia tv where one day the streaming apps would not load up and open. Nothing that I tried worked.
Oh, the Google livetv stations would play but nothing in the streaming apps or frndly tv app.

I went to the Xfinity store to get a real human being to talk with me.
I have internet service with them and I have four ethernet cables to four devices, but not all going at one time.
Gotta talk with a real person. I find that even the chat boxes do not work. *my* problems are far too subtly complicated for them!

I sat with this nice person and he done told me to get a new ethernet cable for the tv and even for the computer and he told me that these cables wear out. Often the speed is not so affected, but the image quality will be affected for sure.
He told me that he games a lot online and he replaces his ethernet cable every six months.

He gave to me a couple of cables.

Last evening I took out the tv cable and place a new cable into the tv from my modem.

AHA!
*now* the apps load and the streaming apps's channels
play again!

Vindicated!
I will replace most of my other cables very soon.

So, you all who use an ethernet cable for your computer or other systems like of a Playstation, you might do well to replace them all!

Well, I *tried* to attend that meeting with Joe, the new director CEO of the Oaks. I came in just in time to meet him and shake his hand and then he began his speech.
He sounded good.

But then, oh my, my *Cough* began. A slow warmup, thus I excused myself before the never never-ending cough from hell began!

Cough from hell. Near down on the ground last unction kind of cough and no slack *until* I leave the room.

Like to ruin my throat and lungs if I were to remain in the meeting room.

I do not think anything of being vet-disabled and yet can walk miles at a time! I cannot tell you all just how *many* times I have had to walk out of church services, concerts, and movies. I cannot have pretty calendars on my wall, neither much art either: fumes from the pigment and ink, of course.

you all will not see me much at any meetings, here at the Gardens. Strangely, I can "handle" the potluck meals and the regular meals. Probably not so many people and not much crowding. little perfume too.

So I apologize for leaving. I probably will leave yet again if I try another meeting. Does not depress me; I am used to this, having experienced this for a hundred times or more over the years.

Another little weekend jaunt to Tampa!

This is worse than I thought! Either I have been royally hacked or that they do not even give to me my newsfeed, they rather have this instead

What *is* this, Facebook?!

You all done changed everything. They seem to want me to put my old outdated blog up, instead of my newsfeed, then I see no way to see my own page, I will actually have to search for it in order to see it! Then they seem to remove the top posters so I only see the obscure posts, and not a single person I know.

Occasionally, we be used by other agencies to promote their services. That, I guess, is all we are good for.....

Please note, that generally, even if the event page is not updated on time, there is nearly always a "session" of 'the Gathering' on Saturday --- even this Easter weekend!

Greetings to our Facebook friends! As you may have noticed, FLAWsome!'s page has been dormant and inactive for some time now. This is because yours truly, Jarl Jackson, had left Facebook for good. Also, because maintaining the FLAWsome! page (among other internet/web-based venues) was time-consuming and seemingly pointless, since the audience they were meant to appeal to, was ignoring them.

Well, now, FLAWsome! is alive again on Facebook, but only on a limited basis, just as with so much else. As some of you may know, we now only have the weekly Saturday 'Gathering,' and no other active, on-the-ground, efforts or programs --- no support groups (we once had three) or anything else.

This because we still don't have the resources, including manpower - volunteers - to sustain them. This is no reflection on the fine people who over the years have contributed what they could, but rather of the fact (as I was reminded by the response to a letter to the editor of the _Tallahassee_Democrat_ newspaper last month) that the need is great - greater, unfortunately, than the avalible resources in this time of shrinking budgets and a downsizing nonprofit sector....
