This past weekend, the coed team finished in 4th place out of 18 teams at SAISA coed champs in St. Pete! On both Saturday and Sunday, the wind ranged from 6-10 knots, allowing for 12 races to be completed in both A and B division. An excellent weekend of sailing and great end to the semester!

This past weekend our women’s team headed back down south to St. Pete, FL and our coed team headed back up north to Cambridge, MA.
In St. Pete, the women’s team competed in Women’s Champs, the Ann Boyd Trophy. It was a sunny weekend with temperatures in the lower 80s, and winds averaging 12-13 knots with gusts up to 18. The chop made upwinds challenging and created lots of surfing downwind. 12 races were sailed in A and B division!
In Cambridge, the coed team sailed in the Oberg Trophy, a three division regatta hosted by MIT. It was a sunny weekend with temperatures in the mid 50s. The wind was anywhere from 3-18 knots, allowing for a total of 14 races per division to be completed. Thank you to Brady Parks ‘25 who came out once again to support the team!
This wraps up the women’s season. Congratulations to the Olivia sailing duo who will be graduation this May and summer.
Good luck to the coed team at champs next weekend!

Major: Environmental Science and Policy
Hometown: Tampa, FL
Favorite sailing memory: Traveling to New England for my first cross regional regatta :)
Fun fact: I ran the Tallahassee marathon in February!
I grew up sailing and racing keel boats with my family. I only started racing 420s/FJs when I came to FSU. I’ve skippered primarily for the FSU women’s team the last 3 years and just started to crew this year!

This weekend the Noles travelled to both Miami and Connecticut!
In Connecticut, the coed team sailed in the Vietor Trophy hosted by Connecticut College. After 14 races and two long days in freezing weather, we walked away 2nd out of 18 teams, winning A division! Thank you to Brady Parks ‘25 for joining us and helping the team combat the elements!
In Miami, the women’s team sailed in the SAISA Women’s Top 9 hosted by the University of Miami. On Saturday, after morning postponement, 10 races were completed in a steady 8-12 knots. Sunday brought postponement due to stormy weather. We wrapped up the weekend in 7th, learning a lot about the Miami venue!

Welcome back! ⛵️
Over spring break, we were excited to host our first ever co-ed home regatta! In the morning there was a brief delay due to a lack of breeze. Conditions filled in to around 3–7 knots, setting the stage for a shifty and challenging race course. Both divisions completed two races before unstable wind conditions brought racing to an early close. Thank you to all the teams that attended.
A huge thank you to all of our FSU sailors who helped make the event possible and competed throughout the day!

Last weekend our team headed into enemy territory for a one-day regatta in Gainesville. The sun stayed out all day with the wind consistently around 6-12 knots. Both A and B fleets sailed strong. A solid weekend for the Noles.

This past weekend, our team travelled back to Charleston, SC to compete in the Mendelblatt Open Team Race. All races were completed on Saturday with a steady 7-12 knots from the north and a light forecast for Sunday. Proud of our sailors for finishing 7th overall!
