As many embrace the last day(s) of school remember that it is and was the power of your belief that helped to produce growth in your students this year. Students rise to what they view they are capable of, and savvy teachers know that ALL students are capable of much more than they think. It is the teacher who builds hope while teaching content that fosters growth.
Be proud of the work that you have accomplished this year. You made a difference in the life of a child.

It's testing week for many, and do you know what that means? It means that the end of the school year is near. While there still may be work to be done, you have already accomplished so much.
Take a moment to reflect on all your hard work this year and embrace a little cheer as you relish the fact that the end is near.

May the 4th be with you! On this Monday, May 4th, may you have all that you need to do the work that you need to do.
Last week, as I was reading through my district emails when this message from the Wellness Hub stood out:
Give yourself permission to breathe, slow down, and tackle things one piece at a time.
Here are five reminders for when life starts 'life-ing:'
Break it down – Big responsibilities feel lighter when you handle them step by step.
Do what matters first – Everything may be important, but everything is not urgent today.
Ask for help – Strong people ask for support, too. You are not meant to do it all alone.
Count the small wins – Progress is progress, even when it comes in 'baby steps.'
Be kind to yourself – You are doing more than you think, and you deserve grace, too.
You do not need to conquer everything in one day. Keep trusting yourself and handle what you can with peace, not pressure.
It is my prayer that today greets you with all you need and that you lead this week with peace, not pressure.

Good morning teacher friends I’ve been doing a little research and would love your feedback, thoughts and ideas about engagement at the middle school level. Check out my website or share with your middle school teacher friends and drop your thoughts in the comments.
What are you seeing as far as middle school engagement? What is working for you in the classroom?

Oh, the places they will go! We never know the full impact of one morning greeting, one lesson, one field trip, or one conversation, but they have the power to reach far beyond the classroom.
Over the last several weeks, we have been mesmerized by the United States recent space explorations. Each astronaut is the result of public education. I can only imagine how their former teachers must feel.
You make the impossible possible. As you teach, you fuel dreams. So, keep giving it your all. You never know the places they (your students) will go. Let's Teach!

Joy makes a difference. Add a little joy to each lesson, create space for it throughout your day. Joy isn’t just for spring break, long weekends and holidays. It is for everyday moments and all the space in between, too!
Find the joy. Create the joy. Let’s Teach!
