We LOVE working with paper, and we’re spreading the love with this heart paper chain! So pretty and so easy to do. Here's the step-by-step:
1) Cut some colored paper into strips along the short width. 2) Fold in half, with color/pattern on the INSIDE. 3) Staple the first strip, folded together, just above the fold to start. 4) Open the strip ends to the sides and pull down to create a heart shape. 5) Put those ends inside the fold of your NEXT strip of paper, staple all thicknesses, and repeat! Violà, Valentine’s decor!

Happy 🕸 We’ve made these creepy-cute spiders for the season and you can too! Pompoms with chenille stems for the body & legs; yarn wrapped around popsicle sticks for the web…pop on some googly eyes, put the spider on the web and you’ve got a “boo-tiful” little creature + habitat!

We love reusing or recycling materials to create something fun and new, in the grand tradition of visual artists who lead and inspire with their resourcefulness and sustainability. Check out this fun “Found Object Stamp Garden” we created with paint. Almost everything around us can have a second (or third etc) life, if we let it. Dip these household items into acrylic paint, and stamp away!
