Hey, Riverhawks! It's Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. It's okay for guys not to be okay and to seek support! Avoid self medicating with substances. Check on your bros!

The stigma around mental health in men gets drilled into them when they are young. It's common for them to hear things like "Man up." "Suck it up." “Real men don’t cry.” Men need to know it is okay to have feelings. Asking for help is a sign of strength. Check on the men in your life. Stop by our office and pick up an "even cowboys cry" sticker. Admin 109.

AWARENESS POST. We are not soliciting donations. We share this post to spread awareness that the dangers of medication do not discriminate. Protect your pets. Lock up your meds! Need a lock bag? Need a drug disposal kit? Stop by Admin 109 on the NSU Tahlequah Campus and pick up one or both for FREE.

"Last night, I made a simple, but ultimately stupid and very costly mistake. I cleaned out an old medication box and set the bag of old medication aside for disposal later. Then forgot about it. My 1 year old GSD got into the bag and chewed up one of the bottles, ingesting a toxic dose of iron from an old iron supplement. My pet recently ingested a toxic level of iron, and he's now in serious danger."
