Pathways to Liberation is about honoring where we've been, celebrating how far we've come, and imagining what's possible—and our emcee Michelle has been part of that journey from the beginning.

As an original founding member of Civil Survival, Michelle has helped shape our movement as a community organizer, Game Changer Leader, Lead Facilitator and Board Director. But her impact extends beyond Civil Survival. For more than 20 years, Michelle has turned her lived experience into lasting change by building reentry programs and advocating alongside impacted communities.

This evening will feature a silent auction, interactive learning experiences, remarks from our Co-Executive Directors, and an intimate panel conversation centering the voices and experiences of directly impacted community.

And that's a wrap on Chloe's legal internship with Civil Survival! 🎉

This summer, Chloe worked directly with clients, sat in on hearings, drafted pleadings that helped successfully vacate felony and misdemeanor convictions, and helped clients get LFOs waived. She also dove into State v. Blake vacates and third party refunds while tackling some serious legal research and writing along the way! 👏👏

But Chloe brought more than her legal skills to this work. She brought compassion, lived experience, and a genuine commitment to helping people navigate systems that too often create barriers instead of second chances.

Chloe, as you head back to the University of Montana School of Law, we want to give you a HUGE thank you for everything you contributed to our team and clients! We can't wait to see what you do next! ⚖✨

Here in Washington state, you can vote even if you have a past felony conviction or while on community supervision. Since January 1, 2022, the Voting Rights Restoration Act has automatically restored the voting rights of individuals with felony convictions upon release from prison, welcoming more than 20,000 community members back into our democracy.

But even four years later, too many people still don't know their rights. Let's change that. Help us spread the word, get registered, and make sure every voice is heard this election! Learn more at: freethevotewa.org
