When the empty nest years hit I was completely unprepared for the reality of not knowing who I was anymore or what I wanted. I happily put everything into my family and I celebrate that we have kids that we love to hang out with as adults. These are now the years to grab dreams that were set aside, do more of the things that make me happy, and no longer be around people that bring me down. Our best years are now and it's time to show ourselves all that we are capable of achieving. Took my Mom out to lunch after Dad's surgery. (Went amazing btw!) It was too gorgeous not to eat at the waterfront.

I love this location for great food, great staff, and not feeling rushed so we can enjoy conversation mixed with tough things to discuss.

Some days I give myself permission to stare out the window all day.

It's not only ok to slow to a stop, it's healthy.

When you are a strong Indiginious Woman so you can't comprehend the world not knowing what has been happening for centuries, you might be in a quanandrum of where to go next.

For real, people didn't know the murder and missing women rates in their area? Or they are hiding the fact they know who the white trash is?

Believe me, I have trashy on half my side and I wouldn't be who I am or alive without the two mixxing lol

BUT, if you live by first nations/rez's, you heard of the missing women and did nothing. Stew on that.

On random days I see that "close" previous friends are now unfriended. Who knows how long it's been.

It's been eye opening that the closer I thought we were, the more likely to unfriend.

I'm glad this isn't a worry. It doesn't change my day. I truly wish them the best as many are connected though hubby's fire dept.

The sky is rocking my brand. This is the place we hope to retire. We immediately chill here. We could see living here forever.

This weekend has proven how perfect a location it is with both kids able to make it for his birthday & his Mom. I'm booking a longer stay next year ❤️

Nike is local and I grew up proudly supporting them. As a PNW kid we wore everything Nike. It was easy and affordable up here.

The last few years I've been a no. A hard no. I didn't even go to the last track & field coaching event (which is amazeballs and made me cry the first year I went because of the amazingness) because I needed to stick to my gut feeling. It also was hard because the money goes to one of their giant local high schools that "puts" it on.

THIS...this fu***ng proves exactly what my gut was telling me. They are only using race when they think it will further them. No need to continue to support a black woman that is amazing since she should now obviously be barefoot and in the kitchen.

Suck it Nike and your poor ethics.

GO ! You have shown many generations of women they can and will do what they want, when they want. I wish you continued success in your life.
