When I'm asked why I decided to run for Common Council President, my first response is because I want to see a change in our City. I have been taught most of my life that to be a Democrat is good for black/poor people and that the Repubicans are our enemy. When I began to formulate my own opinion, I realized that neither party gave a ---- about us. I'm running because I know that we can make a difference if we work together. It's simple math-united we're stronger than any one individual could possibly be. The deck is already stacked and I know I have an uphill road to climb, but I also know that nothing good ever comes easy. It's time to make our voices heard and our votes count. I'm tired of poverty pimping programs. I'm tired of these ragedy roads.I'm tired of seeing the highway congested with people that work in our city, but don't live in our city. I'm tired of the violence and death that plague our streets. I'm tired of a party telling me that I have to vote for someone who does nothing but look out for their own family, friends, and those whom they deem worthy leaving the rest of out in the cold. We can not continue to be sheep lead to the slaughter. If we continue to do the same thing we will get the same results-not a --- thing!
