There is much to celebrate here at the CEPP! Many members of our staff have made impressive achievements recently, including:
Julie, one of our doctoral students, is a recipient of a Joan M. Burstyn Endowed Fund for Collaborative Research in Education. She was also named a winner of the 2024 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.
Jessica, another doctoral student, just had a manuscript accepted to be published in TESOL Quarterly, a top-tier journal.
Nyreé, one of our undergraduate research assistants, is a spring ’25 initiate of the Illustrious Iota Upsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpa Sorority Incorporated. She also presented research on childhood cognitive development and technology at the spring ‘25 Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program’s Research Symposium.
Zachary, another one of our undergraduate research assistants, was just chosen to be both a SOE Class Marshall and a Remembrance Scholar for next year.
Our Center Director, Ben, was honored at the One University Awards where he was presented with the Chancellor’s Citation in Faculty Excellence and Scholarly Distinction.
Excellent work, everyone! 🍊🎉

Back in January, we invited a group of community members to visit the CEPP to observe a simulation demonstration. They also attended a Q&A session with our staff, our actor and SIM participants to learn more about our work and to explore avenues for collaboration. Are you interested in attending a demonstration to learn more about simulations and exploring possible partnerships? Email us at [email protected]!
