How about studying abroad in France? Did you know that there are currently 220 million French speakers in the world today? The SU French Program is the place to get answers to all of your French related questions. Offering courses that range from the 100 to 400 level, French classes at Syracuse University run the junket from language acquisition to high level literature. If literary analysis isn't your thing, the program also offers phonetics, translation, and business French courses. Founded on the interaction between students and their professors, the French Program at SU boasts highly qualified full-time faculty that are leaders in their fields. The 100 and 200 level language classes prepare students for either the move on to Civilization and Culture, or a trip abroad to Strasbourg, France. The study abroad option in Strasbourg gives students the opportunity to experience French life first hand, living with host families and attending classes. This experience is one of the crowning jewels of the French Program experience at SU, and students return from Strasbourg with a passion to continue on with the French studies. Dozens of courses are offered in several different areas, making a study abroad trip to Strasbourg a good idea for any major (not just French!). Stop in and see us on the third floor of HBC on the Quad. The office is 316. We would love to sit down with you and answer any (other) questions that you might have. A bientôt!
