7th Grade art students recently completed their own color wheel designs!
Each student created a design showing radial symmetry, then used only red, yellow, blue, black and white to mix all of the colors of the color wheel, along with a tint and shade of each color.
This project is a great way for students to build strong color mixing skills while creating bright, eye-catching designs. Great work!

Congratulations to Onondaga senior Riley Mulligan!
Riley was recently honored by the German American Society of CNY and received a monetary scholarship recognizing her hard work in German over the past several years. The scholarship will help support her out-of-pocket college expenses as she prepares to attend the University of Vermont in the fall, where she will major in Animal Sciences.
The awards night also included traditional German food and dancing, as well as recognition for two other German students from districts in the Syracuse area.

Studio Art students recently wrapped up a sweet project! 🍬
Students created colorful acrylic paintings of candy, starting by designing and photographing their own reference images in class. They carefully positioned pieces of candy to create strong compositions, then brought their photos to life through paint.
Throughout the process, students focused on shadows, highlights, reflections and small details to make their pieces pop. Great work!

The senior high band had an incredible opportunity to open for the Syracuse Pops Orchestra last month! 🎶
These talented students played on the Civic Center Stage before enjoying the ABBA tribute concert. An amazing opportunity well-deserved by these students! 👏

In our final Fist Bump Friday of the year, Wheeler parents stopped by to cheer on their kids last week!
A monster-sized collaboration! 👾
Ceramics 1 students brought Wheeler fourth graders' monster drawings to life by creating clay sculptures inspired by their designs. The best part? The fourth graders got to take their creations home.
From imagination to reality, this project showcased the creativity and talent of students across grade levels. 🎨
