Just a quick update for our STEM fans. For the next year, we will take a step back to decide the direction of our STEM program and tutoring.

For now, we will offer tutoring on limited days at the Library; more details to follow. We will also host two free events, each offering the option to build mini robots or learn electronics and build a small working project, again at the Library.

Just a few quick updates
We will be on vacation for a few days. Tutoring will probably restart in August
3D printing services are still available; message us if you like a 3D print job.

We are looking for additional Summer Tutors for Reading and Math.
If you are interested, please let me know.
Current teachers and college students are welcome to apply, as are aspiring high school seniors.
Days: Monday at 5:00 PM and Wednesday at 11:00 AM
Other days may be available.

STEM Fans,

DeKalb STEM will be slowing operations as we evaluate the best path forward for the organization. We care deeply about the DeKalb area and the greater Chicago community, but with a 90% decrease in activity, we are facing difficult decisions about the future.

Over the past several months, we applied for several grants to support classes and programming. Unfortunately, several applications were denied, and we had to decline another opportunity due to uncertainty about enrollment numbers.

We remain grateful for the support of our students, families, partners, and community members who have been part of this journey. As we determine our next steps, we will continue to keep everyone informed.
