Good equipment make quicker work of your hoof trimming!
I remember when someone recommended I buy some hoof trimming ‘kit’ from Amazon! What a nightmare! 🤦‍♀️

This weeks video in my donkey training & care membership group I’m going to go over what I use to keep my donkey trims simple, quick and WLD treatments that actually help here in the ever humid southeast… IF I use them consistently!!!!!
Healthy donkey hooves require consistent care.. I am personally guilty of getting lazy and just letting the farrier deal with my donkeys hooves.
when I do that it’s always a mistake! 😩
to keep my donkey hooves healthy they definitely need more than just a trim every 6-7 weeks
And spring time is the perfect time to get back in a solid hoof care routine with my boys!

After chores I spent the morning here.. my freshly manicured farm trails on Walter.
He was SO ready to ride and now I’m completely relaxed for the day 😊
Donkey time, riding or not just does that!

Enjoying a little time in an area they don’t have access to often because the English Shepherds guard it. But I like to move the dogs out to let the boys trim back the weeds that the goats wont eat and willows that the goats can’t reach!
No one likes eating those yellow flowers!

I’m sorry I don’t post as much as I used too. Spring is so wonderfully busy on the farm and I don’t carry my phone around with me often.
I try to be present when I’m with the donkeys and very productive with the farm work. The phone tends to be a distraction so I usually only have it with me if I’m doing a training video with one of the boys.
I carried it with me to work on the glamping cabin and the donkeys followed me ❤️
Well except Jasper! He took it as an opportunity to hog all the hay for himself
Just look at these big sweet donkeys though…
I never get tired of seeing them.. after so many years with donkeys I still smile when I see them, I’m still amazed at how tough they are when they play and I still giggle a little when they bray at me
Life just wouldn’t be quite as lovely without them
