🏔️ WOW—what a busy and exciting week it has been at Sutton Elementary!

Our third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade students completed their first benchmark assessments, Smokey Bear stopped by for a special visit, and members of the BCHS soccer team came to read with our Little Mountaineers! 📚⚽🐻

We also celebrated a “Surprise—You’re Here!” Day with dancing cooks, music, and plenty of fun, followed by Attendance Bingo on Friday! 🎉

To top it all off, Sutton Elementary was wonderfully represented at the Braxton County Literature Fair. We are so proud of every student who participated and shared their hard work! 📖⭐

What a week! Thank you to our students, staff, families, and community partners for making Sutton Elementary such a special place to learn and grow.

🥾💙 Little Mountaineers on Parade! 💛🦅

Sutton Elementary’s Little Mountaineers had a wonderful time participating in the BCHS Eagles Homecoming Parade! Our students dressed the part, showed their Camp CLIMB spirit, tossed plenty of candy, and proudly represented SES.

Thank you to all the students, families, and staff members who joined us! We loved being part of the celebration and supporting our Braxton County Eagles!

🦅💙🩶A Special Visit from the Braxton Eagles! 💚💛🦅

We were excited to welcome student-athletes from Braxton County High School, who visited Sutton Elementary to deliver special invitations to students who scored at or above mastery on last year’s WVGSA!

These hardworking students will be recognized during BCHS’s Community Event and football game on Friday, October 16.

Congratulations to our Little Mountaineers! Your dedication, persistence, and hard work have earned this special recognition. We are incredibly proud of you—and we appreciate the Braxton Eagles for helping us celebrate their success!
