She finished the summer at the TOP of the leaderboard and earned the title of Sutton Elementary’s 2026 Summer Selfie Queen! 👑💙

🏁 THIS IS IT, LITTLE MOUNTAINEERS — LAST CALL FOR SELFIES!

And here comes Laney rolling in at the finish line with one last BIG batch! 😂

Apparently, Laney has been holding out on us! A couple of weeks ago, she hit the Northwoods Throwdown: WV DNR vs. Maine DNR and found a whole collection of Braxton County Schools staff members.

📸 Those selfies add a whopping 15 MORE POINTS to her total! 🤯🔥

Talk about saving some BIG points for the very end!

🐾 SUTTON ELEMENTARY’S ANNUAL PET MASCOT CONTEST! 🐾

Who will become Sutton Elementary’s official Attendance Mascot for the 2026–27 school year? Our staff have anonymously submitted their pets for the competition—and now it’s up to our Little Mountaineers, families, and community to choose the winner! 🐶🐱🐰🐥🐾

Voting begins August 14th at Open House and continues through the end of August.

1 PENNY = 1 VOTE!

Drop your pennies into the container for your favorite pet. Vote once, vote often, and start saving that change! All proceeds from the contest will go directly toward student incentives and rewards at Sutton Elementary. 💙

🏆 WHAT DOES THE WINNER GET?
The pet that raises the most money will become our official Sutton Elementary Attendance Mascot! We’ll have a plush version of the winning pet to represent our mascot throughout the school year.

🎒 THE TRAVELING MASCOT
Each week, the plush mascot will travel to the classroom with the Best Overall Weekly Attendance! The winning class gets to keep their new furry—or maybe not-so-furry!—friend until the next weekly winner is announced.

🚨📸 Summer Selfie Hide & Seek Leaderboard Update! 📸🚨

😂 Not so fast!

It looks like Laney wasn’t about to let anyone get ahead!

After hearing Charlotte’s big Blood Drive haul, Laney went on the hunt again…

🏫 She hid out at the high school and even worked the parking lot, tracking down 5 more Braxton County Schools staff members and adding 5 more points to her total! 👏🔥

At this point, we’re starting to wonder… is Laney following the staff schedule? 🤣

The competition has become a neck-and-neck race, and every point matters!

🩸 Who knew hitting up the blood drive could lead to a selfie jackpot?!

Charlotte sure did! She took advantage of the Braxton County Schools Blood Drive and added an incredible 16 points to her total! 🤯👏

Now that’s strategic selfie hunting!

Every community event is a chance to SEEK out staff members—you never know where you’ll find a crowd of Braxton County Schools employees!

This race just keeps getting crazier, and we’re loving every minute of it!

🔥 The leaderboard just got another shake-up!

👏 Evie has added 5 more points to her total, proving she’s still one of our most determined selfie hunters!

👏 Charlotte wasn’t about to let anyone pull away, either! She also picked up 5 more points, keeping the pressure on the leaders.

This race is becoming too close to call! Every trip to the store, the pool, a ballgame, or a community event could be your chance to climb the leaderboard.
