💙 Welcome to the School District of Superior, Natalie Olson! 💙

Please join us in welcoming Natalia, Speech Language Pathologist at SHS and SMS.

Greetings! My name is Natalie Olson (soon to be Natalie Severson). I am so excited to begin my new position at both Superior Middle School and Superior High School as the Speech Language Pathologist! I am a Superior Spartan alumni from the graduating class of 2017 and it is so awesome to give back to a community in which raised me. I attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire for my bachelor degree in addition to University of Minnesota - Duluth for my masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am looking forward to helping students advocate for themselves and empower them through communication to meet their academic needs!

Outside of the classroom I am likely spending time with my family, including my soon to be husband, Beau and our Great Pyrenees, June. My hobbies include traveling, spending lots of time outside, reading, cooking and enjoying live music. We also love a good thrift scene from time to time. I can't wait for all that this new year will bring!

Spartan Community age 55+! Did you know we have a FREE Golden Opportunity Pass that entitles the holder to free admission to all HOME Superior athletic events?

The Golden Opportunity Pass may be picked up at the Superior High School Treasurer's Office (located in the Main Office, enter Door N1). Spartan Fans who are 55 years old or older and district residents are eligible. The pass doesn't expire and is good year after year.

*The pass is not good for WIAA tournaments.

Hello! My name is Alicia Willoughby, and I am excited to start my first year of teaching Special Education at Great Lakes Elementary. I graduated from Superior High School in 2022, then earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Outside of the classroom, you might see me coaching volleyball at SHS or working out at YMCA Camp Tall Pines! I am excited to be back and active in the Spartan community.

Join Sparty and your Superior Spartan Football team tomorrow night, Thursday, August 20 for the first football game of the season! 🏈

📣To encourage student involvement and show our appreciation for our incredible community, all K-12 students will receive free admission to all home athletic events and school activities this year. All K-8 students must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please note that
📣 all K-5 students must be accompanied by, sit with, and be actively supervised by a parent or adult guardian to enter through the gates and attend events.
📣Students going into grades 6-8 must sit either with a parent/guardian or in the designated middle school student section.

We hope to see a huge crowd in the stands cheering on our athletes. We can’t wait to see everyone out supporting our Spartans!

💙 Welcome to the School District of Superior, Addy Hagen! 💙

Please join us in welcoming Addy, Teacher at Superior High School.

Hello! My name is Addy Hagen, and I am so excited to be starting my first year of teaching at Superior High School! I am originally from Duluth, MN, and went to East High School, but I have played a LOT of hockey in Superior in my time. I am a two-time alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!), where I received my bachelor's in Education Studies and English and my master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I'll be teaching English 9 and American Literature this year at SHS.

Outside of school, I love being outdoors, traveling, playing and watching sports (especially hockey), reading, and playing and listening to music. After my time in Madison, I am beyond happy to be returning to the Twin Ports area. I can't wait to get started!

Hello Spartan families! My name is Ella Hunter, and I am excited to be joining the district as the Health teacher at Superior High School. As a proud Superior native, I am thrilled to be back where it all began and to have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the next generation of Spartans.

When I'm not at school, you can usally find me enjoying the outdoors, at a local coffee shop, or exploring a new city. I graduated with my bachelors degree in Social Studies Education from UW-Stevens Point in May of 2025. Since graduating, I have had the opportunity to serve as the long-term substitute Health Teacher at SHS.
I am excited to continue working with our students in this new role. I look forward to getting to know students and families and to being a part of the Spartan community again. Go Spartans!

💙 Welcome to the School District of Superior, Janna Diggan! 💙

Please join us in welcoming Janna, new 4k & Early Childhood Teacher.

My name is Janna Diggan and this will be my tenth year of teaching! I am originally from Sandstone, Minnesota and currently live in Duluth! I have experience working with a variety of age groups, previously teaching at Hinckley Elementary School and North Star Academy, and also working as a psychometrist at Essentia Health in the Neuropsychology Department. I also work part time on the weekends at UWS in the Marcovich Wellness Center, and love supporting the college athletes in Superior! When not busy with school and work, I enjoy being outside with my partner and our dog, East; spending time with my niece and nephews; playing cards and board games; and rock climbing. I am so grateful to tell others I am part of the Superior School District and am ready to take the leap back into preschool and ECSE!
