We are honored to recognize Coach Rollie DeLong as one of this yearโs Big Walnut 4th of July Parade Grand Marshalsโa name that resonates across generations of students, athletes, and families in our community.
If you went to Big Walnut or played sports here, you know the name Rollie DeLongโand you know his legacy is one that will live on forever.
Coach DeLong dedicated over two decades to shaping young lives at Big Walnut High School, both in the classroom and on the field:

Before his teaching and coaching career, Rollie played college football at Ashland University, where he helped lead the team to an undefeated season in 1972. He was later inducted into the Big Walnut Hall of Fame in 2007โa reflection of the profound impact heโs had on this community.
Married to his wife Karla for 44 years, Rollie is the proud father of five childrenโTiffany, Geoff, Jennifer, Matt, and Sarahโand seven grandchildren who carry forward the pride and values he helped instill: Cayden, Jack, Ryan, Max, Sam, Olivia, and Brendan.
Coach DeLongโs influence reaches far beyond the field. Heโs a symbol of strength, character, and Eagle prideโand we are beyond grateful to celebrate him as a true Big Walnut legend.
